The Houston Art Car Klub! has events on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday of 2008 Art Car Weekend. They are as follows (and can be viewed on our calendar):
Wednesday, May 7 - Welcome to Houston Party: Hey art car folks, come welcome the out-of-towners to Houston for this year's Art Car Weekend. No media, just us, saying hi to friends we haven't seen in months, as they roll into town. Gear up, get ready to go, meet and greet! Last Concert Cafe, Nance Street, 7-11p.
Thursday, May 8 - Art Car Bullock - The Bullock is this year's Thursday night party for art car artists and their friends. It's not open to the public as there is no public Art Car Ball this year.
Saturday, May 10 - Illuminated Cruise: Gather at the Art Car Museum at dusk, roll at dark. North on Heights to 19th, then south back on Heights toward the Museum again, then to points beyond. Come sit out on the median between The Art Car Museum and 19th to see us roll by illuminated!
Sunday, May 11 - Hit and Run: 1015-1050am,art cars will drive thru one of many local drive thru resturants on Ella between 610N and 34th.
Sunday, May 11 - Brunch: 11am, The Dutchman Tavern, 834 Wakefield. Say good-bye to your out of town art car friends at this year's Brunch served from the famous CarBQue from 11a-1p.
